3. What techniques do you use?
In my work I draw upon a range of therapy styles, and select the tools I use to match your personality and needs, and the issue that we are working on. The result is that the therapy you receive may not always be ‘just’ hypnotherapy, or ‘just’ NLP, but a combination designed to achieve the results you want in the most effective way.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy uses the power of the mind to help heal physical and emotional problems. Many problems can actually be the result of attitudes or beliefs caused by events in your past. Hypnotherapy can help you to identify those triggers and establish a new, positive pattern of behaviour or belief in their place.

Hypnosis is like the state just before you drift off to sleep: you can still hear everything, react to it if you choose to, or move around. In this state, your unconscious mind is more readily reached, and this is the part which can take on board therapeutic suggestions.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

NLP is a powerful set of techniques, developed by studying the leaders in a number of different forms of therapy to see what works and what doesn’t. It allows the therapist to understand the way we act and think, and create deep and lasting changes quickly and with ease to improve the quality of your life – whether by eliminating unwanted emotions or patterns, instilling positive, useful ways of thinking and being, or achieving the level of happiness and success you really want.

The Lightning Process

The lightning process is an NLP-based tool which teaches you how to take back control and break the destructive patterns you have in your life. The process is based on the principle that we often erroneously identify ourselves with a condition when, in reality, we have just become masters at putting ourselves into a particular state and keeping ourselves in it. In other words a client who thinks they are X is really just an expert at 'doing' a particular pattern of thinking that makes them feel X. Interrupting that pattern and replacing it with something more positive and empowering allows you to make happier and more productive choices in life.
