When I felt the baby turn Sarah’s techniques just kicked in, and I relaxed and just breathed the baby out. The midwife even commented on how calm I was! My previous success with Sarah for weight loss meant that, when contemplating pain relief for childbirth, I thought of hypnotherapy as an option. The tools which Sarah trained me in meant that I was able to have a natural home birth with no other pain relief required. Our baby boy was just a few days after I last saw you. Labour was 18 1/2 hours ... Full-on, right from the start, contractions a minute and a half apart!! As he was lying the wrong way round until just before he was born, I had an epidural after 10 hours - as I couldn't sit down otherwise! However, I would say that the hypnotherapy definitely helped LOADS, as although labour was painful it certainly wasn't distressing and I was very calm and laughing and chatting in between contractions.

It was a fantastic, hugely positive experience for all of us, and I would do it all again (3 more times!!) if I could.
